Founded in 1997, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC has heavily invested in research and development over the years. They began producing handsets solely for Windows Mobile but later moved to Android. In 2013 the popular HTC One series won the industry over and the One Max and M8 handsets strengthened the brand further.
